'HAPPY 2012 EVERYONE'

I have started the year with renewed positivity and vigour!

Anyone that knows me knows I LUV FOOD!,,oh and a good time of course.

However!!~ as I am sure that you have also ,,  made a *resolution* to eat more healthfully, cut down the alcohol and be kinder to ourselves!!

We all start the new year with the need to look after ourselves better and to get our lives back on track.

I actually feel better already and I am not sure if its because this time, I have set my mind to it or
my poor body is thankful for any reprieve it can get!

I will start posting  yummy, healthy recipes on my Facebook page, which you can join up at my website.

I look forward to chatting with you all on there, to answer any questions and to share recipes, photos and events.

I would love you to share your recipes too and hope to get a real little community going.

See you there and "Happy Cooking',

With only 4 sleeps until *the big man' comes down our chimneys, I though it fitting that I should wish you all a' Merry Christmas'!!.

It has been a challenging 12 months for a lot of people.

Floods, Cyclones, GFC and a harsh economic environment  has tightened the purse strings
 for many of us.

Usually about this time, I send out my (dare I say this),,'Happy New Year Message'.
This time, I am merely going to wish you all a safe, loving and 'easier' year with many more to come!

Perhaps, this is a good time to strive towards what is really important to us~ family, friends, making a difference and being kinder to ourselves.

My Christmas Day will see us heading down to the Gold Coast hinterland to cater for a lovely family.
We will look after them all with a table laden full of goodies and fill their bellies.
When our day is done, we will head home,  like, tired little Santas elves to relax.

I will have a bottle of champers chilling, and the freshest seafood will be waiting for us, when we get back home.

I also want to take this opportunity to say a huge thankyou to many of you who have continued to support me as loyal clients.
This means a lot to me and I often smile at how a lot of 'clients' have  become friends.

During the year, many new clients joined us and we looked after some exciting events.

To   my team of merry helpers, (you know who you are)..lots of love and hugs also for your continued support, which without you, all this would not be possible.

I hope you all have a well deserved break, with beautiful food and surrounded by your friends and family.

Until next year, "Happy Cooking" xox

Well I know we are all taught  NOT  to write in red, but its the silly season and I wanted to be 'Christmassey!!

Just dropping by here to remind you that if you havent already made your arrangements for
Festive catering, then best you get in fast!

I am now booked on 'Christmas Day'  & 'Boxing Day' , with a *sprinkling of  dates left available in the month of December.

Christmas day will find me toiling away in a flash home on the Gold Coast looking after a lovely well known  family.
They have booked 'The Christmas table Menu' and will be very spoilt.

'Boxing Day will find us catering a private dinner party for the family of a crew for 'The Sydney To Hobart Race'...no doubt they will be in fine form.

What are your holiday plans this year??

Till then, I wish you all "Happy Cooking", and I will be in touch closer to the big day to wish you all a "Merry Christmas".

'Hello!!

Well, its coming up to 'that time of year',,,yes Santa will be making his long
journey soon and we can expect to see him coming down our chimneys!

This year has gone so fast, that I was only aware of this after walking through Carindale
 shopping centre this week.

Christmas decorations, Christmas music, and fruit mince pies are already in our stores.

Do you realise that its only 8-9 weeks away??
Scarey isnt it.

Have you booked your Christmas *do yet?

Traditionally, we are entering into the madness of the *silly season*,and there is so much to do.
Christmas lists, card lists, so many parties to attend and some of us  will even have relatives
from overseas or interstate coming to stay.

This is where, I come in.

Why not book 'Jans Fine Foods & Catering to look after your events.

For something really different, my  cooking classes are proving to be a hit too.
So, what are you waiting for?

Give me a call,,I love a chat....and book in asap..dont miss out.

Till then.,
Cheers and "Happy Cooking" x

Last week we were invited into the lovely  home of Louise where her friends joined in for a fabulous cooking class.

Louise was celebrating her birthday and instead of a regular party, invited her foodie friends for a cooking class!

Myself, Russell and Fi greeted the guests with a couple of glasses of Prosecco and of course we had a glass too!...All in the name of quality control..of course!

What followed was a fun, interactive, cooking class, which ended with the ladies seated at a beautifully laid out table ready for a feast!

The best thing was they had cooked all their own food and were ready to relax.

I offer classes such as 'Table Food', 'The Earthy Cook' & a newie named~ 'Tasty, Fresh & Fast'!

What better way to celebrate with your friends and family.

These classes are fab for birthdays, Christmas gatherings and, really any type of gathering.

The best thing is that 'WE COME TO YOU'!

All you have to do is show up, have a drink and cook and eat  fabulous food.

Organise a group of friends, give me a call and viola!~ ere there.

Go to www.jansfinefoodsandcatering for more info.

Cheers and Happy Cooking x

Well its been awhile since I last posted..

Spring is nearly upon us, thank goodness!.

I always feel more alive at this time of year..I love new beginnings and am ready to break out of my winter hibernation and tackle the world!

My mind is focused on healthier eating habits and with the warmer weather approaching, this means lighter meals, beautiful simple salads and the arrival of new Summer fruits!

September will see my team and I launching a variety of interactive menus and cooking classes right in your own home.

You can choose to join in or simply sit back with a chardy and watch!

You can choose the 'Earthy Cook Menu',,or perhaps, 'Table Food' where you will learn that spectacular food and presentation does not need to be complicated or hard.

Learn the tricks of the trade and impress your friends and family.

Also, this month my son Russell will be taking the reins and doing Baking classes with me.

He is a fully qualified baker and will show you the simple steps needed to bake bread, pizza dough, brioche and more.

There is something deeply satisfying about getting your hands into flour, yeast,  & water and producing a product that tastes homely and delicious.

Throw away your bread makers and learn the true steps to artisan bread.

Until then, "Happy Cooking"
